NOLA Poboys sits right on bustling Bourbon Street, making it a go-to spot for anyone craving authentic New Orleans seafood and classic po' boys late into the night. This isn’t just a tourist stop — locals and visitors alike appreciate the quick service and the solid take on traditional dishes like fried shrimp, muffuletta, and alligator po’ boys.

The atmosphere carries the energy of the French Quarter with a casual, almost no-frills vibe that’s perfect if you’re coming off a night out or just need a satisfying, reasonably priced meal without a long wait. Inside, the space feels lively but not overwhelming, with a steady flow of people drawn by the large, varied menu.

Seafood here is the star. The fried shrimp po’ boy is popular enough that many find themselves ordering it twice, a testament to its crispy coating and well-seasoned shrimp. Beyond that, the muffuletta made with soft, flavorful bread and the seafood bisque packed with shrimp and crawfish bits stand out for those seeking heartier bites. Those looking to spice things up can try the alligator po’ boy or a dish smothered in gumbo or bisque for an extra layer of local flavor.

It’s a spot that suits anyone from late-night explorers hungry after a stroll through Bourbon Street to lunch crowds wanting a quick, tasty bite that stays true to New Orleans culinary roots. While NOLA Poboys doesn’t serve alcohol directly, the friendly staff will point you to nearby bars if a cold beer is part of your meal plan.

Because the pace is brisk and the lines move quickly, it’s well suited for casual dining or grabbing a filling meal without fuss. If you want to avoid the peak late-night rush, lunchtime visits also offer a chance to enjoy the food with a bit more breathing room and same solid flavors.

Famous for their poboys and a perfect spot if you’re out late! The food comes out fast, the interior is nice, and the prices are really good. I love that it stays open late — great for a late-night bite after exploring the city.

Line out the door and moved quick; the place to go large menu! Pot roast was awesome; chicken andouille was good and efficient waitstaff. Check it out for good eats!

Damn, best lunch so far! Muffuletta Seafood Bisque w/ Crawfish & Shrimp Food was fantastic, muffuletta bread was soft & tasty! Bisque had a nice spice on the finish & filled with crawfish & shrimp bits! We’ll be back!!

One of my favorite dishes while in New Orleans was a fried shrimp poboy from NOLA. So good! Had some fried Okra also that was very tasty. They'll work with you on how spicy you want it. They don't serve beer, but I heard the waitress at the counter tell someone that they can get one from a bar right next door, so that's a resolvable issue I guess if you want a beer with your lunch. Will definitely go again!

Very tasty and fresh grilled catfish po boy. Also try the seafood bisque with nice bits and chunks of crawfish. The muffalata was also very good. Overall great choices. Stop by!

The shrimp po boy was fantastic, with perfect seasoning. The food overall was delicious. The boudin balls, though good, lacked punch. The alligator bites were off, with too little meat and a flavor too similar to the boudin balls. It's conveniently open late.

Excellent late night experience. I was a little concerned, as it’s a ways down Bourbon Street, away from the crowds. This only adds to its charm. On a busy Friday night on Bourbon Street, Nola Po’boys was clean, quiet and comfortable. The seafood gumbo is delicious, authentic gumbo, with just right spice. Shrimp po’boy was awesome. Service was not only friendly, but also quick. The restaurant is very clean and also cool decorations. Highly recommend.
